Sealed quotations are invited from CONTRACTORS, who possess Jeep with Taxi Permit and other valid documents. The jeep should have roplas hard top body and four wheel drive diesel engine and having towing hook arrangement with driver on monthly basis for exclusive use in Horticulture Section of Town Administration Department at Kudremukh. The Jeep is required for a period of 3 months only on all days including Sundays and Closed Holidays on monthly basis for a duty time from 08.00 AM to 06.00 PM per day at a monthly distance coverage of 1800 KMs.

The jeep should be used for inspection of grass slip/Fern plantation work at Mine abandoned Area.

Quoted rates shall be inclusive of all expenses for running / maintenance, fuel, oil labour, salary to driver etc. etc. of the jeep. Detailed terms and conditions alongwith tender forms are available in the office of Dy. Manager(Admn), KIOCL, Kudremukh - 577 142.

Sealed quotations alongwith EMD of Rs.3000/- (Rupees : Three Thousand only) in the form of crossed D.D. drawn in favour of M/s Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited, Kudremukh shall be received upto 2.30 PM on 03.05.2005 in the office of Dy. Manager(Admn), KIOCL, Kudremukh-577 142.

The EMD so received shall be retained as one time deposit and contractor is allowed to submit quotations for supply of jeeps by mentioning EMD details in the tender form in all future cases and such contractors are kept in the panel as registered contractors. The EMD amount of Rs.3000/- shall not be refunded to the contractor for a minimum period of one year from the date of deposit and shall not be transferred to any other contract, contractor or person.

Quotations shall be opened at the time and date as fixed above. Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited reserves the right to reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason or award the contract to more than one agency.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

•  The vehicle should have a valid Taxi permit and vehicle should be registered in the name of the Contractor.

•  The jeep should have 4-wheel drive, roplas hard top body and towing hook arrangement.

•  The jeep should be provided with driver on monthly basis on all days including Sundays and Closed Holidays as required by the concerned Department. If the vehicle is not required on a particular day, same will be intimated on the previous day.

•  The rates offered shall be monthly rate inclusive of all expenses of fuel, oils, lubricants, salary, overtime and other allowance payable to the drivers, vehicle taxes, repair & maintenance charges and Service Taxes. Payment will be restricted to the No. of days & Kilometres jeep is utilised in the month. The Stepney tyre and other accessories shall be kept in the vehicle at all the times.

•  The monthly rate quoted shall be based on the monthly minimum Kilometres run. The Tenderers have to quote his rate for every extra Kilometre of running beyond the Monthly minimum Kilometres.

•  In the event of break-down of the Jeep in use, an alternate Jeep will have to be provided by the Contractor within one hour of break-down as a substitute. It shall be ensured that the alternate vehicle provided shall also fulfill the specification given by KIOCL.

•  If the vehicle is not supplied in time, the Company reserves the right to engage vehicles from other agencies and difference in rate will be recovered from the Contractor's bill.

•  Safety appliances etc., as per statutory requirement shall be provided to the Driver by the Contractor.

•  KIOCL reserves the right to disallow the complete payment or levy penalty for frequent failures in the supply of Jeep on regular basis.

•  Log books are to be maintained by the driver for the trips performed and got signed on a daily basis by the Officer concerned.

•  The bills in duplicate are to be prepared on monthly basis and submitted to concerned Head of the Department for processing for payment. No claim will be entertained if for any reason the payment is delayed. The User Department will arrange Vehicle Entry Pass in co-ordination with Central Industrial Security Force.

•  Any damage to the Company's property by the contractor or his employee during the period of contract shall be recovered from the contractor at the discretion of the Officer-in-charge of KIOCL.

•  Statutory deduction towards all applicable taxes shall be made from the bill as per rules.

•  POL will be at the cost of the Tenderer.

•  Accommodation for the Drivers shall be arranged by the Contractor.

•  The Company reserves the right to terminate the Contract without assigning any reason whatsoever.

•  It should be Contractor's responsibility to ensure that the vehicle provided is maintained in good running condition and duly insured for Insurance Coverage. Certificate of insurance, Fitness, Registration, Tax payment etc., must be made available to KIOCL whenever demanded.

•  Driver should wear clean and neat uniform and well behaved and possess valid driving licence and able to converse local language.

•  The Contractor shall be responsible for the discipline of the staff deployed by him and the Contractor shall not employ any person of bad character. Any person employed by the Contractor is objected to by or on behalf of Company will have to be removed from the services by the Contractor.

•  The Contractor shall be responsible for all injury to person/vehicle deployed by him which may arise from the operation of contract due to neglect of himself or any of his representative, whether such injury or damage arised from carelessness, accident or any other cause whatsoever in any way connected with the performance of this contract.

•  The contract will be operated by the concerned Head of the Department or his authorised representative.

•  On award of contract if contractor do not supply the jeep with in specified time, EMD will be forfeited.

•  Company reserves the right to reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason.

•  Within 15 days of the award of contract, Contractor shall deposit with Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited an initial Security Deposit of 3% (three percent) of the Contract Value and the same shall be in demand draft drawn in favour Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited, Kudremukh from any Nationalised/Schedule Bank payable at Kudremukh(Malleswara).

•  As and by way of additional security, from every progressive bill of contractor, Security Deposit at the rate of 7% of the Gross Value of such bill as determined before payment, shall be retained by Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited. Initial Security Deposit of 3% & additional security deposit of 7% recovered from the Contractor's bill will be released after the satisfactory completion of Contract.

•  If for any reason the work is stopped, the Company will invoke the Force Majeure Clause as per the Company's General Conditions of contract and no claim shall be entertained for not hiring and utilising the jeeps.

•  The work will generally be governed by KIOCL's general conditions of Contract.
